Mr Joseph Wong was recently appointed OCBC Group Chief Credit Officer - Consumer Credit Risk in September 2007. He currently oversees the management of consumer credit risks including approvals, collections and portfolio analytics for the Bank and its financial subsidiaries. He has more than 24 years of banking business experience, including over 19 years in risk management.
Mr Wong's extensive experience includes three years in Hong Kong as Senior Vice President of Risk Management for GE Capital Hong Kong Limited. He later moved to China as Chief Credit Officer for Advantage China Holdings Limited for a couple of years. His most recent position is Head of Consumer & Small Business Lending in OCBC Bank.
Mr Wong holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) in Management Studies from the University of Hong Kong, a Postgraduate Conversion Courses in Accounting from the University of Sydney / University of Tasmania, and an MBA from the University of Sydney.
