David Justinus Emery
Mr David J. Emery is President of Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) Asia Pacific, overseeing the company’s activities in South East Asia, India and the Middle East. He is also responsible for all strategic alliances of D&B International.
Mr Emery started his career at Rank Xerox, where he was last Regional General Manager of Xerox Engineering Systems, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. He joined Dun & Bradstreet (Switzerland) Ltd in 1995 as Managing Director. There, he was instrumental in the integration of the then acquired Swiss domestic information provider with D&B (Switzerland). He was then appointed to head the company’s activities in South East Asia and India with the aim of streamlining the business and expanding D&B’s coverage in the region through alliances and partnerships.
Under his leadership, the Asia Pacific region was profitable for the first time in its history in 2001, and instrumental to the profit turnaround was D&B’s venture into the credit bureau business in the region following the Asian financial crisis. Mr Emery helped governmental bodies and private credit bureaus establish consumer and commercial credit bureaus in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and India from 2000 to 2002.
Mr Emery holds a degree in Commerce and General Management from the AKAD Institute in Zurich. He is also an alumni member of IMD International, Switzerland where he majored in Marketing.
